Three Cozy Coffee Creations to Try at Home

Inspired by the very first New Bean Nation subscription box

When we launched New Bean Nation, we kicked things off with three incredible coffees — Bluff Blend, Rendez-Vous, and New Day Dawning. Each one has its own flavour personality, and today we’re turning those profiles into fun, delicious café-style drinks you can easily make at home.

Whether you like your coffee bold and cozy, soft and elegant, or bright and lively, there’s a drink here for you. Let’s brew something special.

Bluff Blend

“Northern Nightcap Latte”

Inspired by: winter nights, wool blankets, and fireside comfort
Tastes like: creamy maple, soft spice, cozy richness

Ingredients

  • 1 double shot Bluff Blend espresso (or strong brewed coffee)

  • 6–8 oz steamed milk

  • 1 tsp pure maple syrup

  • 1 pinch cinnamon

  • Optional: tiny pinch smoked salt

Directions

  1. Brew espresso and pour into your mug.

  2. Stir in maple syrup and cinnamon.

  3. Top with steamed milk and a soft foam cap.

  4. Finish with a hint of smoked salt.

Tip: Try it iced — shake your coffee with maple + cinnamon, pour over ice, and top with cold foam.

Rendez-Vous

“Montreal Morning Cortado”

Inspired by: chic European cafés and Montreal charm
Tastes like: silky, smooth, gently sweet sophistication

Ingredients

  • 1 double shot Rendez-Vous espresso

  • 3–4 oz steamed milk

  • ½ tsp vanilla syrup (or a drop of vanilla extract)

  • Dash of cocoa or nutmeg

Directions

  1. Pull espresso into a small glass.

  2. Add vanilla and stir gently.

  3. Pour steamed milk in equal ratio to espresso.

  4. Dust with cocoa or nutmeg.

Pro Tip: Serve in a small glass instead of a mug — it’s tradition.

🌅 New Day Dawning

“Sunrise Honey Shaker”

Inspired by: crisp morning air, new beginnings, sunrise optimism
Tastes like: bright, refreshing, lightly sweet energy

Ingredients

  • 1 double shot New Day Dawning espresso (chilled if possible)

  • 1 tsp honey

  • Ice

  • Optional: splash of oat milk or orange peel garnish

Directions

  1. Add honey + espresso to a shaker with ice.

  2. Shake until frosty and foamy.

  3. Strain into a cold glass.

  4. Top with oat milk or twist an orange peel over the top.

Bonus version: Add a tiny squeeze of fresh orange juice — SO good.
